A Day Outside the Gym
Match day is probably the most exciting day of medical school. This day is the culmination of many years of hard work. Medical students spend countless hours studying to build a foundation of science, anatomy, and the human bodies organ systems before embarking on their clinical clerkship’s. In our clerkship’s we work within a variety of medical specialties to build skills that we will take to residency, and then into our future practice as attending physicians. Therefore, All of this hard work plays into our ability to match into the specialty of our choice. The area of medicine that we will practice for the rest of our careers. Today I wanted to give you guys an inside look into this incredible day in my life. I got to share it with my classmate Noah, my friends, and family. It starts on Match Monday where we find out if all our hard work and tireless night pay off. As a result, if we are the lucky few who match on this day. It will then proceed into match Friday where we find out where in the country we will end up.
